THE BIBLE

• The Bible is inspired and empowered by God, infallible and authoritative. (Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1: 20-21)

GOD

• We believe in one eternal God who exists as three separate persons: the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.  (Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7; Deuteronomy 6:4; Genesis 1:26)

 

JESUS CHRIST

• We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, demonstrated the authority and power of God in works and speech, died on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, is now seated at the right hand of God, having accomplished all that is necessary for man's Salvation. (John 1:1, 14; Luke 1:27-35; Hebrews 4:15; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 10:8-10)

 

SIN

• We believe it is essential for man to repent of sin and, by faith, receive the finished work of Christ by confessing Him as Lord with his mouth and believing in his heart, resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 5:18-21; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 2:21; 1 John 1:9)

 

THE HOLY SPIRIT

• The Holy Spirit is continuing the work He began at Pentecost, empowering believers to live a godly life and continue in all the works of Jesus. (Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 2:1-4; Acts 19:1-6; Romans 12:4-8)

 

THE RETURN OF JESUS

• We believe in the imminent return of Jesus and that those who have believed in Him will be resurrected to a heavenly dwelling in an incorruptible body. Those who do not believe will join Satan and his host in everlasting punishment. (Matthew 24:30; Matthew 25:46; Mark 13:26-27; John 14:2-3; Revelation 1:7)

 

THE TRUE CHURCH

• We believe the true Church is composed of all born-again believers in Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation. (Ephesians 2:19-22)

 

THE GREAT COMMISSION

• We believe all born-again believers have been commissioned to share the complete Gospel with all the world. (Matthew 28:19-20)

MARRIAGE

• Marriage is an institution ordained by God from the foundation of the world. It is intended as a lifelong union of one man and one woman. Sexual activities outside of the institution of marriage are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible, and lewd conduct, transgender behavior, and pornographic activities are incompatible with God's commands. However, recognizing that we all struggle with sin, World Harvest Center provides an environment that welcomes anyone struggling with sexual sin. We love and minister to those genuinely seeking God's forgiveness and desiring to be set free. (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

 

BAPTISM

• Christ's followers should be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; baptism is by immersion as a picture of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.  (Matthew 3:13-17, 28:19-20, John 3:23, Romans 6:3-5, Colossians 2:12)

 

COMMUNION

• As Christ's followers, we observe communion in remembrance of Jesus as a testimony to His death for our sins until He comes again. (Matthew 26:26-30, 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)
